World Alzheimer’s Day – 21 September

Today we join people all over the world in raising awareness of Alzheimer’s disease and the impact it has on individuals, families and communities.

At Orchids Care in Doncaster, we support many people living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. We see first-hand the courage of our clients and their families, and the difference compassionate, specialist care can make.

This year’s theme is all about understanding, support and inclusion. Small acts listening patiently, creating familiar routines, or offering a friendly smile, can help someone with Alzheimer’s feel safe and valued. Our trained team uses dementia-friendly approaches to maintain dignity, independence and quality of life at every stage.

If you’re caring for someone with Alzheimer’s and need advice, respite or support, our door is open. Together, we can help more people live well with dementia.
