Every year on 10 October, World Mental Health Day invites us to pause, reflect, and take action for mental wellbeing. This year’s theme—“access to services – mental health in catastrophes and emergencies”reminds us that, especially in times of crisis or instability, access to mental health support is more critical than ever.

At Orchids Care, we believe mental health is just as important as physical health. As we observe this day, we want to reaffirm our commitment to supporting those in our community—residents, families, staff, and partners; by fostering environments where wellbeing is visible, supported, and respected.

Dementia Action week

This coming week is Dementia Action week. (13–19 May)

Dementia Action Week is Alzheimer’s Society’s biggest and longest running awareness campaign. Each year, we work with individuals and organisations across the UK to encourage people to ‘act on dementia’. This year’s campaign will run from (13–19 May). *https://www.alzheimers.org.uk/

Not the news we would like to report, but there was an incident outside our fantastic care centre the other evening. We are thankful no one was injured most importantly. However, these things do take up much needed resources, in time and money!

A City fit for a King! Doncaster
