Care Assistant / Home Care Worker

Warmsworth, Doncaster | Domiciliary care | Part-time and full-time

Location: Doncaster area, visits across the local community

Pay: £14.95-£15.70 per hour + Mileage and Travel Time

Hours: Flexible patterns available

Contract: Permanent, part-time or full-time

About us

Orchids Care is a CQC-registered home care provider supporting adults in their own homes in and around Doncaster. We are a small, friendly team who know our clients and their families. We believe good care is person-centred, unhurried and delivered with dignity, and we look after our staff so they can look after our clients.

The role

We are looking for kind, reliable Care Assistants to join our team. You will visit people in their own homes and help them to stay independent and comfortable. Your day-to-day work will include:

• Personal care, including washing, dressing and continence support

• Preparing meals and helping with eating and drinking

• Supporting medication (full training provided)

• Mobility support and moving and handling

• Companionship, and light domestic tasks such as tidying and laundry

• Keeping accurate, timely records of each visit using our call monitoring system

• Reporting any changes in a person’s health or wellbeing to the office promptly

About you

• Caring, patient and respectful, with a genuine wish to make a difference

• Reliable and punctual, with good communication skills

• Previous care experience is welcome but not essential; we will train you

• Willing to work some early mornings, evenings and weekends

• Able to drive and have a car

• Right to work in the UK
